Everything it keeps,
in one place.

See what your agents made, how much room Asyncat takes, and clear what you no longer need.

What Files shows

Open Files in the sidebar. It lists what agents made and everything else Asyncat keeps on this computer, apart from your project folders. The places are Made by agents, Uploads, Models, Training, Exports, Logs & caches and System.

Above the places, a line says how much space Asyncat uses, with a bar of your disk: what Asyncat takes, what everything else takes, and what is free. Each place shows its own size. Sizes are counted in the background, so a size marked with + is still being counted.

Made by agents

Pictures, documents, pages, data and notes your agents made, from any chat, project, agent or Cat, in one list. Filter by kind, or by where it was made with the Where menu.

Each item opens in a viewer. A few have extra steps:

  • Pictures show the prompt they were made from. Change it in a chat starts a message asking for a change. See Images.
  • Notes open in the chat they were made in, where you can edit them. Open the chat it came from takes you there.
  • Long text files show their first 2 MB. Download one to see all of it.

The other places

PlaceWhat it holds
UploadsFiles you added to notes, chats, agents and projects.
ModelsDownloaded language, image and voice models, and any unfinished downloads.
TrainingDatasets, adapters and what training runs left behind. See Training.
ExportsZips made by Export everything in Settings → Privacy & safety.
Logs & cachesLogs, temporary files and caches. Clearing them is safe.
SystemAsyncat's own files, such as its engines, skills and connector settings. You can see where they are, and change them from the page named on each row.

Some items link to where they are managed, for example Manage in Models for a model, or the project a knowledge file belongs to.

Open, find and remove

Each place has a search box, filters, and a sort order: newest, oldest, largest or by name. Show items as a grid or a list.

In the desktop app, an item can be opened in another app or shown in its folder. You can also download it or copy its path.

Removing anything asks first. The confirm names what goes and how much space it frees. In the desktop app, what agents made goes to your computer's Trash, where you can put it back. Some things, such as models and logs, are deleted instead, and the confirm says so. Something in use can't be removed until it is free, for example a loaded model, a running download, today's log, or an attachment a note still uses.

Free up space

Some places offer a clean-up for many files at once:

  • Models: Delete unfinished downloads.
  • Uploads: Delete unused attachments, the ones no note uses.
  • Logs & caches: Clear old logs, and Clear caches and temporary files.

Each clean-up asks first and says how much it frees. Today's logs stay, because Asyncat is still writing to them. Voice samples download again the next time you play one.

What Files leaves out

Files never lists your project folders' own files. From a project folder, it shows only what agents saved there as their work. Your chats, memories and settings are in Asyncat's database, which System points to. To take all of it with you, use Export everything in Settings → Privacy & safety. See Privacy & safety.
